Butterfly

I have allowed people to destroy me in many ways. I have cried for people who walked out on me when I needed them the most. I've been unappreciated, I've been hurt, I've been lost, I've been pushed away, I've been used, I have been mistreated and all I can say to all of those who hurt me is thank you.

Thank you for destroying me to the point that made me think that I had nothing to do in this world anymore. It wasn't your fault, it was mine because I allowed everything that happened to happen. To those who walked out on me when I needed them the most, thank you, because if you wouldn't have walked out I would have never known that I didn't need you in my life. To the ones that unappreciated me, thank you for teaching me to appreciate myself. To the ones that hurt me, thank you, because now I know that I am stronger than I thought. To the ones that made me feel lost, thank you, for helping me find myself, the true me. To those who pushed me away, thank you, for pushing me towards the lovely people I now have around me. To the ones that used me, thank you, and I hope that what you got out of me was worth it. To those of you who mistreated me, thank you, because you taught me to speak up and never let my self be put down again.

I have cried all my pain away and now all I can say is, thank you all for making me the beautiful person that I am today, the strong human being, the free spirit, the loving partner, the best friend who will never walk away. I believe that we are all butterflies and just like butterflies we have a process that we have to accomplish so we can fly free once we grow. Just like caterpillars we have to transform and go through metamorphosis to become the beautiful butterflies that emerge from an ugly process. Today I'm a happy butterfly who flies free in the wide sky and goes around saying thank you to those who helped me become the happiest butterfly in the sky.
